Scraps Blog Hop, Day 1 7/9/11 First stop!

If you're looking for the last stop in the hop, scroll down to the previous post or click HERE

Welcome to the Scraps Blog Hop... You're at the first stop in the hop! So grab your favorite drink and join the fun!

The purpose of this hop is to help you use up some of your scraps. I'm sure you've got your fair share - I know I do! You'll see 30 talented crafters coming up with unique ways to use their scraps. Some may share tips on how they store their scraps as well!
Be sure to visit all the blogs and leave comments, as there will be a grand prize, a $50 credit to the Designs on Cloud 9 store,
http://www.designsoncloud9.com/ sponsored by Michelle of Designs on Cloud 9. To win the grand prize, you must comment on and become a follower of all the blogs.

Be sure to come back both days to increase your chances of winning!
So, I'm going to share my scraps stash with you... I have lots of scraps, and am not the most organized person...  It's sort of embarrassing to post photos of my stash!
I have a very organized friend who likes to do that kind of stuff who kindly offered last year to sort my scraps and organize them for me... I gratefully accepted... While my scraps were gone, I started putting my new scraps in a basket...

But when my nice organized scraps came back, I continued to put new scraps in the basket (oopsie)...
So here's how lovely the organized scraps look - by color, with labels
And here's where all the pattern scraps live
So maybe I'll be good & organize my basket of scraps... I may have to call on my friend for help again!

So here's my card...
Here's what I started with:
I used this sketch from Operation Write Home -
So the ribbon I used for the rosette is leftover from a wall hanging I made for my Mom.  I used glubers, and if you've never done this before, check out this blog post for instructions... So fun & easy!
I have to say, for not being a "pink" person, I have tons of pink scraps!!!
The stickers are from a sheet that I've had forever....

If you're new to my blog, be sure to become a follower. Crafty Card Gallery is an iPhone app (works on iPad and iPod Touch) that is now available for Android Phones. It is a card gallery for handmade cards. You can follow great designers, and look for ideas. It's updated monthly so there's always new great content for you... So here's the blog candy - since this is a 2 day hop, I will select a winner on Tuesday, and will do the days in order (starting from day 1).. so be sure to visit both days to get more chances to win.  You must be a follower to win..
