Welcome to Round One of the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop! You should have come from Zenita's blog. If you are starting here and wish to hop from the beginning of the hop, please visit Dena's blog : http://missdjones.blogspot.com
There was so much response to the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop that it had to be split between two weekends. This is Round One and begins Saturday, Dec. 3rd, continuing through Sunday, Dec. 4th. Round Two will be held next weekend. We have a talented group of women who love papercrafting and baking. Each of them is sharing a recipe for a yummy Christmas treat along with a Christmas card or tag. Hopefully, you'll pick up some great ideas for your own Christmas gift giving this season. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!
This is my second of two recipes, so be sure to read yesterday's post if you didn't come by on Saturday!!
I asked my mom to help make cookies, since we always make Christmas cookies together. We were both thinking up recipes, since I didn't want to make pfeffernusse cookies for this blog hop... Saturdays recipe was PERFECT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.... Mom wanted sugar cookies with M&Ms... She had found a recipe on Pinterest! Yes, my mom is actually using their iPhone to do cool stuff! I'm so proud! So of course we had to make them....
Mom picked up the M&Ms and we made the recipe.. I wasn't willing to roll and cut out.. so we did drop cookies...
Drop cookies by large spoonful onto cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Bake at 375- about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

I'm not a big fan of sugar cookies, but they weren't bad... Everyone liked them. In fact, as I wrote this post I realized I didn't take any pictures of the cookies - so had to check with Mom... None left.. I had given our friend the rest of the cookies - luckily there were 2 left....
Hope you like the cookie pictures! My co-workers were appreciative of the cookies!
YUM!!!
I know you came here for a card or tag.... so here's a card:
I used wide ribbon, velvet paper, gold paper (used CM punch from a long time ago) and the furry from JoAnn ribbon section. It coordinates with the Starbucks bottles I found on Pinterest that I'm making.....I'll post when they're done...

Just wanted to say I tried to everything to see your pic but they are not showing. I'll come back and hop that it’s just on bloggers end. I can see any of your pic. Sorry wish I could leave a comment about card and pic of the cookies. Blessing AJ
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer ... I too had trouble seeing your pics, but stopped back and now Blogger is working fine. I'm glad I stopped back because your card is TOO cute ... and you and your Mom look like you had a fun time baking together. My Mom's coming up from FL this weekend for a VERY short visit, to celebrate her great-granddaughter's birthday (my granddaughter Charlotte). I can't believe she's only spending 2 nights, but ... well, it's better than nothing! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
