Jack Skellington Pumpkin

Hi! Sorry, it's been a while since I've posted... and here I am with a pumpkin - #notcardsnotpaper - This is my first time decorating for halloween - so I bought a pumpkin from Target - (Free delivery - score!) and found this image of Jack Skellington (we love Nightmare before Christmas)... So I printed it out, and taped it to the pumpkin. I have this old knife (I think it's a grapefruit knife?) and I used it to carve it. When I got to the small pieces, I switched to an exacto knife (might have been smarter to use that the whole time but live & learn). Be careful, I cut my finger a little bit! I also cut out an extra piece accidentally- so I used some glue dots & put it back in :). I put a battery operated light in the pumpkin... I think it looks cool, and my kitty likes it too! This was a quick project - took me less than 1 hour.... Have a happy halloween! I may do one more ( I already bought the pumpkin - just need to find...

If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can go to the beginning at Jamie at Glitter, Stamps, and Paper, Oh My . Hopefully you have lots of ideas for your Christmas cards & gifts. Personally, I'm a little behind schedule, and I'm hoping I'll get some great ideas from this hop! My goal is to get my Christmas cards finished this weekend. On to my card: And I've noticed a lot of people put something cute on the inside of their cards - so I put a strip of the same paper & a row of glitter on the top... Card is 5 1/2" square. The card base and blue paper are from JoAnn. The snowflake background (which I love) is Bo Bunny gift of love paper. ...
