Hi everyone, I'm Christina.
Today I'm going to share a card I created for this months card challenge. Theme: Butterflies.
What I love most about butterflies is their unique patterns and colors on their wings.
Here's my card -( for the background, I used alcohol inks in various colors, with gold metallic) I also used the Tim Holtz texture hammer on the large brads for an aged look with the word band - Authentic -

handmade mixed media butterfly card
Take a look, notice how the wings are popped up, they add dimension and create a sense of movement.
For an added touch I used spiral clips and unwound them to create antennas for the butterfly.
I was inspired by the recent tag I created from Tim Holtz blog. The techniques used on this tag and my card are really cool and a lot of fun to play with. Find out how I created my card here.
Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

Love how you used the paper clips for the antenna on the butterfly. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tonya. The paper clips came in spirals, sometimes hooked to each other. They remind me of those plastic monkeys in a barrel I used to play with as a child. I pick out two spirals and unwind them to make the antenna.

ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie. I used spiral paper clips from 7 Gypsies as antennas for the butterfly.
